USD, JPY, CHF and EUR have been the strongest currencies in the past 1 year while GBP, CAD, AUD & NZD have weakened a bit. Overall, JPY & USD are the strongest in terms of absolute gains.

1. Firstly I would like to tell you that nobody could predict the market. Therefore Elliot waves together with some other technical indicators are very useful when you are making analysys for enter/exit point

2. All currency pairs are good. Some of them have higher volatility and some lower volatility. Usually traders are trading with several currency pairs that they like.

3. As you have noticed leverage could be as profitable as detrimental. For that reason traders use money risk management rules. The main rule is don’t risk more than 2% of your trading funds, which is rule No.1.

4. Rule No.2 – Listen and follow the market. Trend is your friend.

5. Rule No.3 – Don’t listen experts. They are paid for their speech. If their forecasts are so successful why they don’t trade themselves? Trading is much more profitable than salary for making forecasts.

6. Rule No.4 – Never trust “black boxes”. All of them are created by historical data. Their presentations looks very good but market is alive because traders are live personse and nobody could predict next movement of thousands live traders.

7. There are many online forex brokers. I know nothing about forex.com as brokerage company. But I don’t like their trading terminal. I preffer MetaTrader 4.

Be careful with that large of a withdrawal, the credit card might not accept it, and you might get in trouble depending on what country you’re in. It could be flagged as money laundering.

I’d suggest using MoneyBookers if your broker supports it. Once your money is in your moneybookers account you can request a cheque or a wire transfer, moneybookers’ fees for withdrawal are awesome, I recently requested a wire transfer which cost me just $2.7.

If your broker only supports credit cards and wire transfer then take some money out via credit card and the rest via wire transfer.
Note, don’t use paypal if your broker supports it, you will be charged crazy fees to receive a payment by paypal, I believe around 2-3%. I did that once a few years ago and had to pay around $100 for receiving a $3000 payment

With as much money that is available to those creating the Forex trading site, if they knew exactly how to trade and never lose, they’d be keeping the system away from the public and just be doing the trading on their own and making 100-1000 or more percent gains per year. Being it is risky and you can not be assured of winning, the creators of financial instruments GUARANTEE their winnings off of commissions of other people whether they win or lose.

It’s the same with the stock market, though a fellow by the name of Blankenhorn has developed a new stock market system that is actually about investign and am told the SEC has it but rpefers the present system that allows for an incredible amount of manipulation. Your not going to make money on every trade. That’s why you have strop losses and risk ratio’s. Educate yourself about what you are doing and you will lower your risk. Some tips:

Keep your risk reward at least 3:1.

In its default format, it places a line or “band” two standard deviations above and below and 20 day moving average. These bands contain 98% of price movement, so a print outside of the band is very unusual and powerful, therefore a signal of sorts.

When the bands contract and get very narrow, it is telling you that volatility has decreased, and if the range is very narrow, it usually is followed by a huge increase in volatility and explosion in price out of this range.

Unfortunately, the Forex markets go dead for several hours each evening, narrowing the bands and giving a false indication.

I tried to use the Bollinger Bands for years, and never could derive anything useful and gave it up.

Most of the trading is done with massive amounts of leverage (borrowed money). With leverage, relatively small moves in price can wipe you out.

For example, if I borrow $1000 to invest in a contract worth $1100 I will be wiped out if the contract falls by as little as 10%.
